My former OBGYN did not work with my insurance for a hysterectomy due to endometriosis and recommended Dr. Mills. She came highly recommended by the surgical community and I was told she had low complication rates and fast recovery rates.
We met to discuss surgery. She was knowledgeable of endometriosis, answered all my questions, and I knew I was in capable hands. I felt like she understood and listened to my needs!
At 51 with 2 adult children I had no need to keep my ovaries or cervix. This would also remove and concerns of cervical cancer in the future.
I chose to stay on hrt therapy before surgery to avoid full-blown menopause after surgery. I believe this helped my recovery.
I have suffered for many years from pain due to endometriosis and the pain became absolutely excruciating during perimenopause! It felt like labor pains for days and at home I would curl up in a fetal position crying from pain. Working during a flare was almost impossible.
During my endometriosis journey, I have had years of pain, multiple ER visits, and scans that showed absolutely nothing. IMany times I felt unheard and was told it was undiagnosed female problems. It was so frustrating! Dr. Mills was like a breath of fresh air after so many other doctors!
The surgery was able to be done laparoscopic and the endometriosis adhesions were removed along with my reproductive organs.
I am now 2 weeks post-op and feel amazing! I can keep up with the fast walking nurse, my scars are barely visible, I have my energy back, and I am so happy to not have the dread of getting my cycle anymore! Everyone's recovery is different, but mine is going so wonderful!
We discussed adding a small dose of testosterone to my hrt therapy, but Dr. Mills wanted me to wait until the 6 week post-op because she did not want me to get excited before I was cleared for any bedroom activities. ROFL!
Dr. Mills has given me my life back and I could never thank her enough!
I have seen reviews about the long wait times and rescheduled visits. Most doctors do this. I have had to wait and I have been rescheduled. I understand when a doctor has an emergency surgery or has to deliver a baby and I get rescheduled. If she is running late to my appointment that means she is taking the time she needs to answer all the questions of the patients before me. This also means she takes the time with me to answer my questions. So, the wait time, the long drive tine, and the rescheduled visit are all worth it to have my life back again!
She is the best doctor and surgeon IMO and I am so thankful for her!

Dr. Mills and her staff were amazing. After suffering from endometriosis for years with no real help from any primary doc, Dr. Mills had me properly diagnosed and treated within 6 months. The best experience I’ve ever had with any kind of doctor.

Absolutely love Dr Mills! She’s def very loved & recommended by so many ladies! 100% recommend her!! Hadn’t seen her in 7-8yrs due to me changing OBGYN due to insurance but crazy how she still remembers me 7-8yrs later! Love her!!

Dr. Mills has been my doctor for over 20 years. I always have a good experience when I go in for my annual exams. I trust her and she takes the time to really listen to me.

By far the best experience I have ever had with an ob/gyn. Dr. Mills and her staff are so patient and kind. Dr. Mills was very informative about what was going on with me, and took my concerns seriously when several other doctors had blown me off. I had an open myomectomy with her and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results/how I have healed.

Today was my first time coming in here. When I first walked in the door, the receptionist was very friendly and kind. The wait was awhile, but since they they were able to fit me in I didn’t mind at all. I also heard she was worth waiting she will take her time to listen and be there to answer any questions needed and be thorough as well. So I didn’t let the wait bother me at all. So When I met Dr. Mills nurse she was right off the bat very sweet and welcoming. Helped me feel comfortable before meeting Dr. Mills. As soon as Dr. Mills came in I felt I didn’t have to worry about anything. She made me feel comfortable when talking to her. She was understanding and definitely knowledgeable. If you’re needing to see an OBGYN she’s the person. All the way around great experience. Thank you!
